Yes. It is so much easier than watercolor. Gouache is very different than watercolor. Sometimes called opaque watercolor, it dries fast to a velvet, mat surface. Mixing is more traditional, by adding white or adding colors to existing hues. It remains water soluble after dry, so too many layers is tricky. Mixing subtle colors is a real joy. Don’t bother with the cheap gouache, buy the professional grade. Holbein, Winsor Newton, etc. Colors are dense and strong.
